Curtis Revisited is based on pictures of Indians by Edward S. Curtis, shot in the early 1900s, and which are in the public domain. The images were transformed by adding elements of modernity which were obviously not available at the time the pictures were taken, thus not only changing their meaning, but conveying a vision of a world based on "if". What would the native American society looks like "if" it had kept its traditions regarding clothing, lodging, social life and so on. Adding incongruity to these pictures pushed the concept a little further...
